FOUR BEAUTY HACKS

We’re always on the lookout for home remedies and beauty tricks which is why apple cider vinegar is always on our list.
It’s the new trend among celebs as musician Halsey raves about them, “I love activated charcoal, coffee as an exfoliator—
apple cider vinegar is an awesome toner as well.”
We’ve come up with four top tips to transform your home beauty routine.
1. ACNE
Acne can seem like an impossible task to deal with and it can be the most frustrating thing in the world. Lucky for you, apple cider vinegar is known
to kill bacteria and help balance out the skins pH levels, while also absorbing some of the excess oils from the skin’s surface. Mix one part vinegar to 3-4 parts water,
apply solution directly to skin with a cotton wool pad and leave for ten minutes, then rinse.
2. CLEANING MAKE-UP EQUIPMENT
As well as helping to purify your skin, it can also be used to help restore your make up equipment. Combine a tablespoon of ACV with warm water, plus squeeze half a lemon in for a fresher scent and swirl your make-up brushes
around in it to your heart’s content.
3. SHINING YOUR HAIR
Keeping your hair shiny can be an expensive task so ACV can be a great budget alternative to the expensive conditioners. The acetic acid in ACV will balance your hair’s pH levels, stimulate your scalp and strip off some of the product build-up and residue.
Dilute 1/3 cup ACV with four cups of water and massage into your hair post-shampoo. Leave for ten minutes, with a shower cap on and then rinse out with cold water for extra shine.
4. TEETH WHITENING
Vinegar can be used to get coffee stains out of fabric but they can also help with stains in your teeth. While they won’t match a professional service, if you make a
paste with baking soda it can go a long way to making your teeth pearly white with a brush and rinse.
