Post with Phoebe Hannis: a conversation on LED, skin and the long view

A ten-year view on LED

Phoebe Hannis has spent more than a decade working alongside dermatologists, aestheticians and skin clinics across the UK and the Middle East. As Group Marketing Director at Harpar Grace International — the parent company of Déesse PRO — she has watched LED move from a niche in-clinic treatment into one of the most considered home-use categories in skincare.

"The thing people under-appreciate about LED," she says, "is how slow the story is. It is not a shock treatment. It is a routine, and the people who get the most from it are the ones who commit to the ritual."

Why LED, and why now

LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths — red at 630nm, near-infrared at 830nm, blue at 415nm and green at 520nm — to engage different layers of the skin. Each wavelength has its own place in a considered routine, and the Déesse PRO device is designed around using them together rather than in isolation.

"We are not here to promise a miracle in a week," Phoebe adds. "We are here to make the ritual effortless, so that the long view actually happens."

The ritual, not the device

Her advice to anyone starting out is quietly consistent: pick a time of day, build the ten minutes into something you already do, and give it a season before you judge it. "Skincare is a long conversation with yourself. The device is only ever one half of it."
