There's something about an evening routine done properly that shifts the whole mood of a night. Since I started building my skincare around the PRO by Déesse PRO, I've stopped thinking of it as a treatment and started thinking of it as the part of the day I actually look forward to. It sits somewhere between skincare and self-care — and honestly, that's exactly where I want it.
Here's how my evenings look at the moment.
Step 1: Double cleanse — and I mean properly
I work long days and usually have SPF and some makeup on, so I don't skip this. I start with micellar water on a cotton pad to break down anything sitting on the surface, then follow with the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex as a proper second cleanse. The Cleansing Complex has this slightly gel-like texture that works into a light lather and rinses away completely clean — no residue, no tightness. My skin doesn't feel stripped at all, which matters a lot to me before LED.
I've learnt from experience that a lazy cleanse before a treatment is a waste of time. The light needs a clear path, and honestly, that first rinse is when I start to slow down mentally too.
Step 2: Green light, twenty minutes, TV on
Once my skin is clean I put the PRO device on and settle in. Right now I'm rotating through wavelengths depending on how my skin looks, but my evening go-to is green light — 520–560nm, which targets melanin production and helps keep my skin tone even. I've noticed my complexion looks more settled and less patchy since I started using it consistently in the evenings.
Twenty minutes is my usual session length. I put something on TV, lie back, and the time disappears. There's no effort involved — that's the thing people don't fully appreciate about the PRO until they use it. It does the work while you rest.
Step 3: AHA exfoliation after the session — not before
This is the bit that took me a while to figure out. I used to exfoliate before LED and wondered why the results felt underwhelming. Doing it after makes so much more sense to me now — the skin is warm, circulation is up, and the AHA pads glide on without any friction. I use them lightly across my cheeks and forehead and my skin looks visibly smoother and brighter the next morning.
I don't overdo it. Two to three passes with the pad, let it absorb, and move on.
Step 4: Seal everything in
The final step is always a serum — I tend to reach for hyaluronic acid in the evenings — followed by a rich night cream. The skin absorbs everything so willingly at this point. I wake up with that well-rested, healthy-looking skin that I used to only get after a facial.
Why this routine has actually stuck
I've tried a lot of routines that fell apart within a fortnight because they were too complicated or too time-consuming. This one has held because it doesn't ask much of me. The LED session is passive — I'm resting anyway. The cleanse and the final steps take maybe ten minutes combined. The whole thing fits into the part of the evening I'd be winding down regardless.
That's what I think people underestimate about the PRO by Déesse PRO. It's not a device that adds complexity to your life. Used consistently, it quietly changes what your skin looks like over time — and for me, that's been genuinely noticeable.
